Of course there were no anti-lock brakes back then but did anyone tell them they could stop faster by not locking the brakes?? Road testing back then was comical.

It’s interesting: Even though the car still performs the same as it did in 1971, the review/praise had to be much better back then. Completely unacceptable slipping and sliding today, adequate in ‘71. Just moving with the times.
